Cathryn "Cathy" Marie Ward

Cathryn "Cathy" Marie Ward, 74, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. Born and raised in Beaumont, TX, she later became a longtime resident of Vidor, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Cathy dedicated over 20 years of service to Baptist Hospital before retiring. She had a heart for taking care of others, and that care extended beyond her work—her home was always open, and everyone knew they could find warmth, laughter, and a good meal at Cathy’s house. Family was her greatest joy, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Michael Ward of Vidor, TX; her children, William "Billy" Ward and wife Dawn of Groves, TX, and Timothy Ross Ward and significant other Ashley Doucet of Orange, TX. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Hannah Noble, Chael Ward, and Aubrie Ward.

Cathy is also survived by her mother, Mary Louise Stinebrickner; her siblings, Andy Stinebrickner of OK, Debbie Andrews of Roanoke, LA, Clem Stinebrickner of Beaumont, TX, and Stacy Traylor of Cypress, TX.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clemens Paul Stinebrickner Sr.; her son, Sean Michael Ward; her brother, Randall Stinebrickner; and her father- and mother-in-law, Billy Gus and Arnitta June Ward.

Cathy’s home was always filled with love, laughter, and the people she held dearest. Her legacy of kindness and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
