Carrie Solly Rees

Carrie S. Rees, 47 of Vidor went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont after a brief illness. A lifetime resident of Vidor, she was a clerical assistant with Blood and Plasma until this past December when she left to help take care of her very sick dad. She was a very devoted wife, and mother to her family. She was always very active in all of their lives. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Pine Forest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother Dwain 'Bubba' Solly, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 26 years Raymond Rees, sons Eric Rees, and Cody Rees all of Vidor, daughter Kara Anderson and her husband Olie of Orem, UT., parents Dwain and Maxine Solly, Sr. of Vidor, sisters Shirley Croak of Vidor, and Linda Meche of Beaumont, and also her nieces and nephews that she loved and enjoyed spending time with. She will be greatly loved and missed by all of her family.
