Carol "Poochie" Lynn Richard

Carol "Poochie" Richard, 64, a lifelong resident of Vidor died Friday, November 27th, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family after a two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. She enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her family and friends but she especially loved to spend time with her grand daughter Savannah Richard. Poochie is survived by her loving husband, Byron Richard of 32 years, 1 son, Joe Richard and wife Whitney of Vidor, 1 grand daughter, Savannah Richard, 3 sisters, Dorothy Stanton of Evadale, Sylvia Lee of San Antonio, TX, and Cecile Spears of Vidor. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Erika Spears of Vidor along with numerous nieces and nephews. Poochie was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Marie Spears, 1 brother, John "Sonny" Spears, and 3 sisters, Algie Mae Williamson, Elvis Freeman, and JoAnn Wilson. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
