Carlos C. Miller, 71, of Vidor died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at his residence. A native of Burkeville, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 30 years, and was a retired merchant seaman and owner-operator of Millers Barber Shop. He served his country in the Army Reserves. Carlos love to hunt before he went blind, he love to sit on the porch and spend time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Burkeville City Cemetery in Burkeville, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Carlos was preceded in death by his son Ricky Leon Miller, father Claude Cater Miller, and his siblings Claudell, Patricia, Janice, Wilburn, Glen, Archie, and Douglas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Fron Ella Miller of Vidor, son Ray Miller and wife Charlene of Jasper, daughters Vickie Zavala of Jasper, Molly Asbury of Vidor, Lisa DeGrazia and husband Anthony of Austin, and Kimberly Smith and husband Job of Beaumont, mother Onorb Smith and step-father John Smith of Burkeville, TX., thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great nieces and nephew who knew him as Paw-Paw.
