Carl “ Brother” Wayne Jinks, 74, went home to the Lord on November 29, 2007 in Rock Springs, TX while on a hunting trip. He was born in Johnson Bayou, LA and lived in Vidor for the last 40 years. He was a proud Korean War veteran and was retired from Mobil chemical. He was a member in good standing of Tolerance Lodge 1165 and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. Carl was a man bigger than life to his family. He was the strength of his family, loved his family deeply and possessed great wisdom. He had a great heart and would help anyone in anyway, even complete strangers. He Loved God. He loved his country. And oh, how he loved his family. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Roland Jinks; sister, Elsie Erbelding and daughter Hope Boudreaux. He is survived by his wife and best friend Alberta “Tookie” Jinks of Vidor; His children, Debbie Partin, Brent Jinks and wife Pat, Carroll Jinks, Jennifer Glover and husband David all of Vidor, Gay Maywald and husband Kyle of Beaumont, Leslie Wyble and husband Kirk of Groves and Michael Boudreaux of Houston, TX; his mother Thelma Jinks of Vidor and sister Helen Packard of Lafayette, LA; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Vidor with the burial to be at 12:30 Monday at Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou, LA. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor
