Carl Cecil Coon

Carl Cecil Coon Jr., 73, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Port Arthur, TX, Cecil was a longtime resident of the Golden Triangle, where he left a lasting impact on his community through his work and passions. Cecil was a skilled brick mason and the proud owner of CC Radiator Shop in Vidor. His dedication to his craft and his entrepreneurial spirit were well-known and respected by all who knew him. In addition to his professional endeavors, Cecil was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying both football and basketball. He was also passionate about fishing, often spending his free time on the water, enjoying the serenity and thrill of the catch. Cecil is survived by his loving children: Cathy Coon of Modesto, CA; Chris Coon and his wife Amber of Vidor, TX; Troy Coon and his wife Jessica of Appling, GA; and Tara Chadwick and her husband Jason of Spring, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories and legacy he leaves behind. Carl Cecil Coon Jr. will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His spirit and contributions to the community will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.
