Brian Paul Varney, 45, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston. A native of Austin, TX, Brian had lived in Vidor for the past three years, following a long residence in Orange, TX.
Brian worked as a railcar inspector for Eagle Railcar Services in Orange, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and playing baseball. He cherished moments spent playing with his children, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Brian was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Velasquez and his dad George Velasquez.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Tracey Tynes of Vidor, TX; his four children, Natalie Varney of Bridge City, TX, Madelynn Varney of Vidor, TX, Matthew Varney of Vidor, TX, and McKenzie Varney of Vidor, TX. He left behind his mother, Connie Velasquez who has now followed him in his passing, his sister, Hattie Velasquez of Washington, TX, and his brother, Jason Velasquez of League City, TX.
Additionally, he is survived by his aunt and uncle, Sandy and Ricky McCall of Orange, TX.
Brian's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family, friends, and colleagues will remember him for his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought into their lives.
