Bonnie Andrews, 90, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 22, 1934, in Hodge, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Vidor.
Bonnie was a quiet and caring woman who devoted her life to her family. Always putting others first, she worked tirelessly to ensure her loved ones were cared for, often placing her own needs last. She was truly one of the last of a great era and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bonnie is survived by her three children: Tim Andrews and wife Sally of Vidor, Terry Andrews and wife Elsie of Hazel Green, AL, and Christy Myers and husband Linn of Vidor. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Libby Walker of Vidor, and her brother, Tommy Ramsey of Winnie. Bonnie was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews who brought her great joy. She also leaves behind her beloved grand-dogs, Daisy May and Heidi, who provided her with constant companionship and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over half a century, Jack Andrews; her parents, Alfred and Ollie Ramsey; and her brother, Gerald Caskey.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion over the past year. Her nurse, Chris Jones, and aide, Sharon Walters, held a special place in Bonnie’s heart for their kindness and friendship.
Bonnie’s quiet strength and unwavering love for her family will remain her enduring legacy. She will be forever cherished and remembered.
