Betty "Pinkie" Shafer

Betty "Pinkie" Shafer, 87 of Vidor, TX died Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Houston she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Pinkie was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and like doing yard work, making cookies and mayhaw jelly for shut-ins. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church with funeral services at 3:00 p.m.. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Pinkie is survived by 3 sons; Lee Edward Shafer and his wife Pamela of Katy, TX, Clifford Earl Shafer and his wife Martha of Vidor, and Bobby Eugene Shafer and his wife Robin of Vidor. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one on the way! Pinkie was preceded in death by her husband; Aubry Shafer, 1 sister; Earline Mason and 1 brother; William "Bubba" Landgrede.
