Bert Walles Jr.

Bert C. Walles Jr., 85, of Vidor died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Summer Place Rehab and Nursing Center in Beaumont, Texas. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Bert was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor and was a Master Craftsman. He was the owner/operator of the Texaco service station in Vidor in the 1960's. Bert was on a hunting lease with his high school friends and brother in Junction, TX. He worked on many projects with his brother J.L.. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am and a gathering for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am Thursday, July 7, 2016 at First Baptist Church. Bert was preceded in death by his son Kyle Alfred Walles, brother J.L. Walles and sister Eloise Williamson. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Thelma Walles of Jasper, TX, son Bert Wayne Walles and his wife Laura of Jasper, TX, daughter Diana Walles Pierce of Beaumont, TX, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
