Bernice M. Knapp

Bernice M. Knapp, 88, of Kountze died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A longtime resident of Kountze, she was a retired seamstress with C. E. Ward Company. She was a member of the Vidor VFW and the Ladies Auxillary. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at McKinney Cemetery in Kountze, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Myron W. Knapp, sons John W. 'Buster' Smith, Charles H. Knapp, Walter W. Knapp, brothers Walter H. McNeely, Don McNeely, Roy McNeely, sisters Audrey Jeffers, and Doris Foreman, and parents Walter and Grace McNeely. She is survived by her sons Robert W. Smith of Kountze, and Dennis A. Knapp of Sealy, TX., daughters Barbara E. Hale of Felicity, OH., and Linda E. Pickering of Rose City, brothers Charles McNeely and Gail McNeely both of Vidor, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
