Bennie 'Butch' Willie Samuels, Jr.

Butch Samuels, Jr., 64, of Vidor died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Greenville, MS., he has lived in Vidor for 30 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow at Haven of Rest in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. He served his country in the United States National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 112. Butch was preceded in death by his sister Mary Gage. He is survived by his wife Linda Samuels, sons Gary Samuels, James Samuels, Alvin Samuels, and Chris Samuels all of Vidor, daughter Melissa Peterson of Orange, sisters Barbara Ellen Parker of Greenville, MS., and Diane Dukes of Tilatoba, MS., fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
