Bemon Strong Adkins

Bemon S. Adkins, 84, of Vidor died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of San Augustine County, TX, he resided in Vidor for 51 years. Bemon was a retired construction worker and served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation was held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home. Bemon was preceded in death by his son Lloyd Sheldon Adkins. He is survived by his wife V Ettress Adkins of Vidor, TX, sons: Benny Adkins and his wife Linda of Vidor, TX, Charles Adkins and his wife Renee of Village Mills, TX, daughter: Lynda Adkins of Vidor, TX, daughter-in-law: Debra Adkins of Vidor, TX, brother: C.T. “Speedy” Adkins of Lumberton, TX, Carol Gene Adkins of San Augustine, TX, sisters: Lura Mae Evans of San Augustine, TX, Dorothy Chambers of Rosevine, TX, 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
