Barney Courts, Jr., 60, of Vidor died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Promise Specialty Hospital in Nederland, TX. A lifelong resident of Vidor, he was a vending tech with Moncla’s Vending and Catering for 10 years. He was a proud member of First Christian Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife Dixie Courts of Vidor, son Steven Courts and his wife Jamie of Vidor, daughters Stephanie Nance and her husband Michael of Brandon, MS., Kasey Courts, and Allison Courts both of Vidor, brothers Oliver Courts of Nederland and Tommy Courts of Moreno Valley, CA., sisters Sue McFarland of Vidor, Dessie Bice of Houston, Claudie Dixon of Euless, TX., Faye Hartness of Beaumont, and Birdie Horne of Hemphill, and eight grandchildren.
