Audrey Juanita Kilmer, 88, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at Oakwood Manor in Vidor. A lifelong resident of Vidor, Audrey was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church, where she actively participated in many church activities throughout her life. Her talent for sewing was well-known, and she often created beautiful pieces for her family and friends.
Audrey’s family was her heart and soul. She was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her nurturing spirit and dedication to her family were evident in all she did, and she was never happier than when surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bobby Kilmer Sr. of Vidor, TX; her children, Bobby Kilmer Jr. and wife Sharon of Vidor, TX, Karen Kilmer of Kirbyville, TX, Gary Kilmer of Nacogdoches, TX, and Scott Kilmer and wife Misty of Cinco Ranch, TX. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Tisha Cox and husband Philip, Amber Flynn and husband Michael, Trey Kilmer and wife Megan, Michelle Spencer and husband Jerad, Amber Goldsmith, Tiffiny Stone and husband Miles, Chris Dozier and wife Cindy, Derik Kilmer and wife Kaitlyn, Joey Kilmer, Chris Kilmer and wife Ashtchin, Cameron Reneau, Makayla Kilmer, Gabriela Kilmer, Salina Kilmer, Kimberly Kilmer and spouse Mij, Natalie Kilmer, and Camille Kilmer, as well as Eighteen great-grandchildren.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Strickland and Audrey Strickland Cotton; her brother, Edward Earl Strickland; and her sons, Glenn Elvin "Buck" Kilmer and Michael Earl Kilmer.
Her legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
