Atha Mae Dubuisson

Atha Mae 'Mimmie' McNeely Dubuisson, 93, of Vidor, Texas, died Sunday, June 29, 2008. Atha was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Edward Dubuisson, and her husband, Wiliford Hall Dubuisson. Atha was a homemaker and a long-time employee of Beaumont Independent School District as cafeteria manager in several district schools. After retirement, she proudly served as a volunteer at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital until the age of 901/2. Atha Mae had many areas of interest and service. Atha Mae McNeely was born on January 13, 1915, in Kountze, Texas to Sidney and Henrietta McNeely. She had seven brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two sisters, Viola Heath and Erminie Holland, both of Kountze, Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved and admired and who will cherish memories of their Aunt Atha Mae. Mimmie is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Adair Dubuisson; two granddaughters, Robin Lockhart and husband , Mike, of Beaumont, Texas; and Melissa Woods, and husband, Joe T., of Vidor, Texas; six great grandchildren; Jessica Woods Russell, Madeline Woods, Katheryn Woods, Kimberly Woods, Lauren Lockhart and Garrett Lockhart; and three great-great grandchildren, Alexa, Addison and Ella Russell. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Vidor, Texas. A celebration of the life of Atha Mae McNeely will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to begin at 2:00 p.m. at McKinney Cemetery, Kountze, Texas. The family would like to give a special thanks to our church family at First Baptist Church of Vidor, and to Texas Home Health Hospice staff for all their love and care shown during our difficult times.
