Arthur E. Newton

Arthur E. Newton, 87, of Vidor died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Miranda City, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Arthur was a member of the Evening Optimist Club, Lions Club and was a Coach for Little League Baseball. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Vidor and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 19, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial PArk in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 12:00 pm Monday, August 19,2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Arthur is survived by his son Keith Newton of Vidor, TX, daughters Rebecca Ann Johnson of Milton, FL, and Rhonda Alice Manning of Nederland, TX, sister Zelma Wucher of Austin, TX, 8 grandchildren,17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
