Hilda "Ann" Porter-Moid-Khan, 75, of Silsbee, passed away on Friday, November 1st, 2024, at her home. A longtime resident of Vidor, Ann was a dedicated nurse who spent her career caring for others with warmth and compassion. After retiring from nursing, she continued to care for her family as a full-time mother and grandmother, filling every role with a boundless love and devotion. Ann also owned and managed two mobile home parks, where her genuine kindness and attentive spirit created a welcoming community for her residents.
Ann loved nothing more than to take care of people and was known for her heart as big as Texas. She was deeply caring and always looked for ways to help those around her. Outside of work and family, Ann had a passion for travel, finding joy in exploring new places and making memories with loved ones.
Ann is survived by her two daughters, Tonia Porter of Vidor, TX, and Felecia Webb of Buna, TX; siblings Leon Gray Jr. of Fred, TX, Jimmy Tyler of Porter, TX, and James Fontenot Jr. of Lake Charles, LA; six beloved grandchildren: Nina Pittman-Ceron, William Alex Cleveland, Raini Ricks, Breezi English, Kirsten Duhon, and Jonathan "JJ" Duhon Jr.; and her two great-granddaughters, Mia Pelton and Miley Ceron. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Matkin and Leon Gray Sr.; her brother, Michael Fontenot; and her niece, Rebecca Tyler.
Ann’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she touched with her loving care and gentle spirit. Her legacy of kindness and strength will continue to inspire those who knew her.
