Andrew "Andy" Lee Kornegay Jr., 63, of Vidor, TX died at his home surrounded by his family. A native of Tallahassee, FL he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Andy served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver. In his spare time he enjoyed barbecuing with his cook-off team and drinking coffee with friends but he really enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Andy was known to help anyone who needed it. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. Andy is survived by his wife Debra Kornegay of 35 years, 1 son; James Kornegay and his wife Tonya of Vidor, 3 daughters; Amy Rubin and her husband Travis of Beaumont, Peggy Craig of Vidor, and Sandra Stanley and her husband Gary of Vidor. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 1 brother; Albert Kornegay of Panama City, FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Andrew and Bertha Kornegay.
