Alvin Barry Barnes, Sr

Alvin B. Barnes, 71 of Vidor died Monday, January 15th, 2018 at his residence. A native of New Orleans, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Alvin was the superintendent of Brock Ind. in Beaumont. He worked at Brock for 40+ years and the last 19 years was with the Evadale Paper Mill with Brock. Alvin loved to saltwater fish and ride his trike Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of VIdor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Alvin is survived by his wife Beverly Barnes of Vidor, TX, daughter Christina "Nina" Wilcox and her husband Doyle of Vidor, TX, son Alvin "Barry" Barnes Jr of Beaumont, TX, brother Larry Barnes of Beaumont, TX and Michael Barnes of Vidor, TX, 2 grandchildren Blake and Bret Wilcox of Vidor, TX, several nieces and nephews.
