Alta Atherton Tallent

Alta Tallent, 89, of Vidor died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Rockford, Ill. She resided in Vidor for 40 years. Alta was a loving homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday March 28, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home. Alta is survived by her husband Charles Tallent of Vidor, TX., sons: Steve Atherton of Vidor, TX., Stephen Tallent of Johnson City, TN., Eric Tallent of Huntsville, TX., daughter: Luan Palowski of Covington, TX., sisters: Helen Magnuson of Rockford, Ill., Shirley Dirksen of Oregon, Ill., 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
