Allen Gorman Wood

Allen G. Wood, 80, of Vidor died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange, TX. A native of Winters, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 2002, and was a self-employed roofer. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the families residence. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Allen is survived by his wife of 42 years Marie Wood, sons James G. Wood, William C. Wood, and Joseph P. Wood all of Vidor, brothers Bill Wood of Alexandria, LA., and Pat Wood of Mt. Vernon, TX., sisters Ila Mae Wood of Amarillo, TX., Lavenia Wood, and Virginia Wood both of Carthage, TX., and Ruth Wood of Kalamazoo, MI., six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
