Ada Ruby Lee Gray, 88, of Vidor, Texas died on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. Ruby was born April 28, 1921 to Harrison T. and Tarzile Elizabeth Luquette Lee. She was a native of Perry, Louisiana and a resident of Vidor for 55 years. She was a homemaker and a woman who loved her family. She liked cooking, sewing and gardening. She worked for a short time for Oakwood Manor as a cook. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Gray, sisters Melba Brown and Florence Doiron and brother Milton Lee. Survivors are daughters Brenda Coleman and her husband Joe, of Vidor and Barbara Waters, Terry Longren of Orangefield, sister Velma Johnson and her husband Bill of Nederland. Grandchildren Alvin (Bubba) Coleman, Victoria Andis, Walter Waters, Seth Waters, six great grandchildren Adam and Noah Coleman, Madison and Darcy Andis, Marissa and Caleb Waters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home.
