Preston Paul Callahan Jr.

Preston Paul Callahan Jr., 90, passed away February 8th 2015. He was born in McKinney, Texas October 7th 1924 to Preston Paul Callahan Sr. and Ruby Smith. He served in the Navy Seebees in the 1940's. Soon after his release from the service he made his home in the Vidor/Beaumont area. As a Building Contractor, he built many beautiful homes and several commercial buildings in the area. He was a kind and generous man who treated everyone as if they were the most important person in the world. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Lawhon; and his only son, Loy Paul Callahan; and his only daughter, Joy Elaine Callahan Hanson. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on North 105 in Vidor.
