Peggy Louise Simmons Lott

Peggy Louise Simmons Lott, 75, of Vidor passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Born November 19, 1937 in Brookeland, TX, to Melvin and Dolly Simmons. Peggy moved to Buna with her family in 1946, graduating from Buna High School in 1957. In 1966 Peggy married Lester Lott and they resided in Vidor, TX, until her death. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Lester Lott, sister Lyndia Vassar and her husband Grady of San Antonio, TX, brothers Harold Simmons and his wife Kay, Charles Simmons and his wife Nancy all of Buna, TX, James Simmons and his wife Linda of Victoria, brother-in-law Bobby Lott and his wife Jan of Benedict, NE, and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A special thank you goes out to the staffs at Beaumont Kidney Center, Harbor Hospice House, Dr Strout and his staff and to Peggy's many friends who lent a hand allowing her to stay at home during much of her illness. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 2, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
