John Daniel Pattillo "Papa"

John Daniel Pattillo "PaPa", 80, died Tuesday, June 30th, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Lumberton, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing, and collecting and shooting guns. PaPa was known for always willing to teach others but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. PaPa will be forever loved and remembered. Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Monday, July 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. PaPa is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; Pat Pattillo, 2 sons; John Anthony "Tony" Pattillo and his wife Regina of Mauriceville, TX and Thomas Allen "Tom" Pattillo and his wife Robin of Oklahoma City, OK, 1 daughter; Lillie Pattillo-Heidleberg of Vidor, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers; James E. Pattillo of Indiana and Lynn Ray Pattillo of Lumberton and 1 sister; Linda Kay Woeller also of Lumberton.
