Gary Lynn Welch

Gary L. Welch, 59, of Vidor died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Dry Prong, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 25 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 8. 2011 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Macie Welch, and his sister Katherine Borderlon. He is survived by his wife Betty Welch of Vidor, son Shannon Wheeler of Dayton, daughters Tina McFarland of Vidor, and Kim Welch of Beaumont, brother Ed Welch of Beaumont, sisters Mildred Hodnett of Montgomery, LA., Wilma Strube of Cabot, AR., Linda Anderson of Benton, LA., and Margaret Baker of Granada, MS., four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
