Garnet Leon 'Curley' Franks

Curley Franks, 79, of Hempstead, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his residence. A native and longtime resident of Vidor, Curley was a retired printer with Hempstead Printing Company in Hempstead. Curley served his country in the United States Army. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Curley was preceded in death by his parents Chesley and Beulah Franks, Sr., brothers Chesley (Bubba) Franks, Jr., and Cecil Franks. Curley is survived by his brothers Virgil Ray Franks and his wife Geraldine of Vidor, and John (Bud) Mull of Hempstead, sisters Jackie Lombardo of Denton, TX., and Marie Odom of Marietta, GA., and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
