Elton Ray Goins, Sr.

August 25, 1932 — February 28, 2005

Elton R. Goins, Sr., 72, of Lumberton died Monday, February 28, 2005 at his residence. A native of Jasper County, TX., he lived in Vidor for 25 years before moving to Lumberton 20 years ago. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Silsbee, Texas. He was a carpenter with the Local Union in Beaumont, and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Memorial Services will be Friday, March 4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Silsbee, TX. Elton is survived by his sons Elton R. Goins, Jr., and James D. Goins both of Lumberton, daughters Pamela L. Pope of Houston, TX., and Deborah K. Rogers of Lumberton, TX., three brothers, one sister, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
