Elizabeth L. Coons

Elizabeth L. Coons, 92 of Katy died Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at Houston Methodist West Hospital in Katy, TX. A native of Wiergate, Texas, she was a longtime resident of Vidor, before moving to Katy. Elizabeth was a past member of United Methodist Church in Vidor and was the bookkeeper for Western Auto in Vidor for many years. She loved playing puzzles and games on her computer. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, November 2, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Allie Coons and grandson James Curtis Coons. She is survived by her son Richard Coons and his wife Carol of Katy, TX, 2 grandchildren Ann Vana and her husband Chuck of Katy, TX, Richard Z. Coons and his wife Kristie McCallie of Oldsmar, FL, granddaughter in law Robin Coons of Willis, TX, 5 great grandchildren Misaki Overheu, Chloe Coons, Alexandra Gaddy, Joshua Gaddy and Logan Wilson, numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wounded Warrior or St. Jude's Hospital.
