Benford William Harper

Benford W. Harper, 87, of Vidor died Friday, January 20, 2012 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur. A native of Hamilton, AL, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Benford was retired from Mobil Oil and served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 8246. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Benford is survived by his son Ben Harper, Jr and his wife Nancy of Nederland, TX, grandchildren Ronnie Harper and his wife Theresa of Lumberton, TX, Karen Braneff and her husband Reggy of Orange, TX, great grandchildren Kristopher Powell, Amber King, Paul and Victoria Harper, great great grandchildren Ashlyn King and Lexi Powell.
